Scorpio Full Moon: The month starts off with an intense Scorpio full moon that can pull secrets out of closets, especially in the area of relationships. If this full Moon falls on one of your planets or angles, be prepared to face some poignant truth which may serve you well in the long run.
Retrograde Saturn in Sagittarius/Scorpio : Moon then moves to Sagittarius to meet retrograde Saturn on May 5th and to oppose Mercury in Gemini. This is not a fun filled meeting as retrograde Saturn can silence everything around it even a Sagittarius Moon and Mercury Gemini. So don’t be surprised if you feel some gloom and doom in and around you. Saturn is retrograde from March 14th to August 2nd of this year. Saturn gets more serious in this mode but it’s great to focus and get some work done especially when mars opposes it starting from May 7th until the middle of the month. With Saturn and Mars together you can take on a challenging project and complete it. If you have planets in very early Gemini or Sagittarius degrees, you may feel that life takes on a more serious and pensive tone this month. There may be some additional frustration from May 22nd to 24th when Sun in Gemini opposes Saturn. Instead of brooding, try to channel it constructively and hopefully in the end, as with most Saturn transits, you will be rewarded.
Mercury Retrograde: Mercury going reverse from May 19th to June 11th in the sign of Gemini. There can be miscommunication galore so just watch what comes out of your mouth or your pen or your keyboard! Usually this is not a good time to sign contracts and initiate any new projects. However, its conducive to planning, thinking, analysis and coming up with ideas that can be implemented once Mercury goes direct.
Venus is busy this month: Venus combines with Neptune between May 11 to 18th. In this combination the aesthetics and sensuality of Venus can cross boundaries to a higher level. So people who have this transit triggering their personal planets can get creative with art, dance, music and other forms of art. Venus Neptune also signifies boundless love and so this is a good time to forgive those little hurts and express love in your intimate relationships. With the help of this trine, some hard barriers can be crossed in love. Venus at the same time is also squaring the north node in Libra and south node in Aries, and so the message to walk towards negotiation and love is stressed again. This is the perfect starter for Venus in Cancer, as it then goes on to having a passionate affair with Pluto in Capricorn, which lasts until the end of the month. Venus Pluto is about the undying love but also can fuel jealousy and rivalry. So keep the storm from extinguishing the flame. If you have planets or angles in the early cardinal signs between 3 to 10 degrees, relationships will play an important role this month.
Jupiter Trine Uranus and Quincunx Pluto: Aren’t all of us with personal planets in middle cardinal degrees happy that Uranus is breaking away from the square with Pluto? Yes! Uranus is moving away and forms a trine with Jupiter for the whole month of May. This is good for bringing sudden luck and/or for removing barriers. So if you have been waiting for something for a long time, it may very well happen now with the blessing of Jupiter. From May 16th to May 23rd, Mercury makes a sextile to both Jupiter and Uranus and this may facilitate increased communication. If you’ve been wanting to have that talk which makes you queasy, Mercury could give you a helping hand. However, from May 11th, Jupiter will also be making a quincunx pattern with Pluto and this can throw a little curve ball to the luck factor, which can either make it better or worse. Jupiter may think big and grand in Leo but those ideas may first have to face some harsh truth in the caves of Pluto, and maybe even go through some transformation. So if you have planets in mid degrees of Capricorn or Leo, you may find that some of your big plans may need to be modified.
