There are 2 unfortunate accidental shootings that happened in the past two days. Bryce Dion, a cameraman on the long-running television crime show “Cops” was shot and killed In Omaha night by gunfire (August 26th) from local police, while he was videotaping an armed robbery in progress in Omaha, Nebraska. The same day a nine year old girl accidentally shot the shooting range instructor, Charles Vacca on August 25th in White Hills, Arizona.
Astrologically what would trigger accidental shootings? Astrologically Mars Uranus aspects are usually seen in sudden accidents or or in sudden violence. But for something to be accidental, where no one is to be really blamed kind of situation is usually triggered by quincunx (150 degree) aspects or even more intensely a yod pattern which is made up of 2 quincunxes.
Let’s look at the transits going on now. Mars exactly joined Saturn at 17 degree Scorpio on August 25th, the day of the New Moon in Virgo, and both form an exact quincunx aspect to Uranus which is also at 17 degrees Aries. and if we add Mercury in Virgo to this picture, a yod pattern, also called the Finger of God is formed as shown by the green aspect lines in the chart below showing the transits for August 25th. This basically says sudden deaths (Mars – Uranus aspect) could happen which are fated and no one is really to be blamed (yod pattern). yod triggers situation where someone or something shows up at the wrong place or wrong time and stuff just happens. Yods are not necessarily negative; they can also create positive situations without much initiation or input from anybody. It could work both ways. If you look at the chart below you can see that other than the one mentioned above, there is another yod pattern between Jupiter, Neptune and Pluto.
