Cardinal T-Square in 2010- Dynamic and Action Oriented

We have been having a Cardinal T-Square for the past month and this will go on until end of September (when Saturn will move ahead breaking the T-square pattern).  Cardinal signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn and represent taking initiative and dynamic action. So the planets in the cardinal signs forming a T-square pattern are Jupiter and Uranus together in Aries, Saturn in Libra and Pluto in Capricorn.   I have mentioned in previous blogs about Jupiter Uranus conjunction in Aries which will be exact again on September 18, 2010.   If you look in the chart below, you can see the T-square pattern made by the planets. T-square pattern is when there is a planet A in the focal point and it squares with planet B and Planet C on either sides. Thus planet B and C will oppose each other.  Thus a T-square Pattern is made up of 2 squares and 1 opposition.  Below you can see that Saturn in Libra is opposing the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction in Aries/Pisces, and Pluto is in the focal point squaring both Saturn and the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction.

What does this mean globally and for you?  The Cardinal signs represent action and initiative and are generally a good time to start new things. A T-square adds more energy to this cardinal process by creating tension and intensifying the need to manifest.   Since T-square constantly demands action, it indicates the potential for considerable achievement.  Jupiter Uranus conjunction in Aries is about expansion in a creative manner, and Saturn opposing it is about working with others in a strategic manner. So there is a tug of war between wanting sudden beneficial change that is self centered and doing it in a structured manner that also involves others in the process.  Aries is action oriented and self centered and Libra is relationship oriented and pleasing others.   Now how does the square from Pluto affect this opposition? Since Pluto is the focal point in the T-square, its energy can be expressed well when the opposition is balanced.  In short, Pluto in Capricorn is about transforming worn out structures that have outlived their use.  Thus this transformation can happen when the creative changes (Jupiter-Uranus in Aries) are undertaken in a structured way (Saturn in Libra) and there is a balance between self interest and including others in the change process.  Then true transformation can happen in 2010, both globally and in an individual’s life.

The negative side of this T-square is that if the oppositions are not balanced and if expansion and changes are undertaken in a selfless manner or on the other hand there is too many barriers (Saturn) in making changes then the expression of the focal point, which in this case is Pluto can get erratic and undisciplined.  Pluto can be a very raw and primal force and in its extreme negativity can be expressed in a dark and brutal manner.
